Pastor Randall Klynsma

Randy was the fifth of seven children born to his parents, Norman and Dorothy Klynsma of Hospers, IA.  He was raised in a Christian home,  attended the First Christian Reformed Church and the local (CSI) Christian School.  After graduating from Unity Christian High School in Orange City he continued his education at Dordt College where he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy.
He came to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus when he was a sophomore in college.  A few months later he thought he might be called to the Gospel ministry.  Initially, he viewed this “sense of call” somewhat tentatively.  However, through the years of studying and preparation, and by having the opportunity to exhort in many churches, he became convinced it was from the Lord.
In the Summer between his Junior and Senior year, he volunteered with A Christian Ministry in the National Parks and led services each Sunday at Death Valley National Monument. It was when he returned for his last year of college that he met and fell in love with the love of his life, Julie Ten Haken.  They were married after college and after several years of teaching, while Randy was in seminary, they began their family and eventually had six children.
He received a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Reformed Seminary. During seminary he had Summer Internships in Inwood, IA and St. Catharines, ONT and after graduating served as stated supply for a church in Edmonton, ALB.  After this, he was called to become the pastor of the Orthodox Christian Reformed Church in Ripon, CA.  He was ordained in May of 1990 by Classis West of the Federation of Orthodox Reformed Churches and labored in Ripon until 1998.

He was then called by the Trinity Presbyterian Church (OPC) in Bridgewater, SD, where he served from 1999 to 2009.  After this, he served as the pastor of the Northland Reformed Church (RCUS)  in Kansas City.  He was called by St. John's Reformed Church in Lincoln, NE to be their mission pastor to labor toward planting a church in the Omaha area.  He began serving there in February 2016 and has been laboring here since.
